So around the 28th of January I decided to braid my hair up and leave it in for AT LEAST a month. The last time I braided my hair I barely had it in for 3 weeks, I just couldn't take it lol. This time I was eager to keeping them in just to give my hair a break. I think this will be my last time braiding my hair though. My next protective hairstyles will be sew in's because I find them to be a lot more manageable than these braids (especially when they begin to look old). Anywho, I'm officially taking these braids out tomorrow and giving myself a huge pat on the back for making it to a month. I'd go for one more month but I'd rather go back to wearing hats everyday haha.

Buh-bye braid head. I'll definitely be setting more mini hair goals for myself til I ultimately meet the biggest goal, of being at least APL (arm pit length) and all nat-ur-al lol. I think my next mini goal will be growing about 3 inches in the next 2 1/2- 3 months. We'll see.

My nails have a new love

I went to CVS the other day and bought two nail varnishes by Wet n Wild (I can assure you that that's not what I originally intended to go and purchase lol). Anywho, they were only around $1.99 so I thought 'why not.' One is called Club Havana (which obviously isn't pictured here. I took it off my nails already but maybe you'll see it again in the future).

REVIEW: Clarisonic Pro

We've all seen this baby, right? Indeed, but as many reviews as there is on it I'm here to give my personal opinion anyway :)

First I'll start with a few quick facts about my Clarisonic Pro:

• It was approximately $200 (I'm not sure of the exact dollar amount because I received it as a gift from my grandmother)
• It came with the handle, a brush head, the charging cradle, three sample size Clarisonic cleansers, and a user guide.
  
• It has and on/off button as well as three power levels (low, normal, and high) that are shown by the two indictors on the front of the handle.
  
• The back of the handle tells you when it is fully charged or needs to be charged.
  
• The bristles in the middle of the brush oscillate back and forth at a sonic frequency (300 movements per second) which helps cleanse the pores.

Okay, enough of the dermatologist talk, on to my opinion lol. . .

So a few weeks ago I went book shopping (definitely one of my favorite things to do). I originally went to pick up The Carrie Diaries but sadly, only the cover drew me in. Anyway, I saw this book, on the wrong shelf. . . it was meant to be seen by me lol. If you don't have this book, whether you're addicted to fashion/style or not, you need to get it. What I love about it is the pictures/ sites/ examples/ DIYs she provides along with loads of information to back it up. It's not one of those 'I read it once and I'll never go back to it' type of books but instead a 'go back to for inspiration and guidance' book. Lauren is a beautiful girl who developed her own personal style right in front of our eyes, why not give it a try. I promise you won't regret it :)

So technically this is my first post. In actuality, I've made numerous posts and just decided to delete them and start completely over. New URL, new heading, new posts.

I never truly got along with blogspot ::wompwomp:: but I'm giving it a second chance, simply because there are SO many blogs on here that I adore. I must admit, though, I've become a blogging junkie. I have tons of blogs (2 on tumblr, 1 wordpress, and this one). I'm just trying to decide which one I like best. I tend to gravitate toward tumblr because of how user friendly it is but bleh, I'm getting off topic.

So I'm welcoming myself back to good ol' blogger, this is where I started. Wish me luck.
